hello,
wow. thank you so much for your help and support!!!
it feels good not to be alone with this :)
does anyone know why it feels like the ear(s) are blocked? there
should be a physical explaination...
i also noticed that the tinnitus is louder if i 'tight my jaw', how
come?

my life has also changed since this happened. there are so many things
i can't do anymore (concerts, clubs, even bars & restaurants are
sometimes too loud for me, urban noises irritates me, i became hyper
sensitive to stress environments, i moved back to a less noisy city, i
even quit my job cause i had to be on the phone all day, i can't play
in bands of course, can't listen or make music with headphones, i will
need someone's help to mix my next record. i mean the simple fact that
one can't have a beer with friends is just sad). this band was a duo
bass/drum, the bassplayer was playing on his own speaker - i'm tired
of people telling me that it's my own fault, that it's a risk you take
when you go to a rock gig. especially this band which is famous for
playing overloud. i'm also sick of people mixing loud & intense. if
the musicians AND the audience are wearing ear protections, maybe it's
a sign something is not ok. plus listening music with earplugs is like
listening to underwater rock. i'm not really blaming anyone, but we
wont get far if everybody says "i'm not responsible". why does it have
to be so uncool to say it's too loud, i'm too close, it hurts. things
must evolve so that people stop getting permanant ear-damage, so that
people stop getting their life messed-up by Tinnitus.
all the best!

many many thanx again

No one knows. One theory is that sometimes when you have tinnitus the tiny
muscles that control the impedance or tightness of the tiny middle ear bones
and the eardrum become overstressed or in spasm. Sometimes a warm towel over
the ear can help. Sometimes a hearing aid relieves the blocked feeling.

No one knows that, either. It is very common. There are connections in the
brainstem between auditory inputs and somatic inputs that seem to influence
each other. This is an area of active research right now.
