have had T for many years now but apparently have "normal" hearing.
one of the many strange reaction of my hearing system to outside
sounds is when  the inside of  my left ear actually "jumps" or
vibrates along with the outside sound. This is particularly so for
things like car alarms, crockery, phones etc... This all happens in my
left ear yet the tinnitus is in my right ear!

is this hyperacusis or recruitment ands whats the difference?!!

Hyperacusis is the over-sensitivity to sound, where sound can become
downright "painful".  My hyperacusis gradually lessened over a two year
period.  Now I'm stuck only with 'T' which I've learned to cope by
1.avoiding  silence 2.avoiding loud stuff and 3. creating busy distractive
activities.

Sounds more like reactive tinnitus.  Many people also have a persistent
echo-ation associated with tinnitus where they hear a sound long after it has
stopped.
