Many of the doctors and the 'quantitative' research scientists that
have appeared on alt are also t patients themselves. They have been
trying with all sorts of treatments that they themselves have been
working on. So far the result is what it is...floundering on the
beachhead while attacking tinnitus....
One of the better approaches to enlarging their sphere of knowledge
and experience about tinnitus is for them to go and experience
themselves *other* or 'alternative' kinds of t treatments. These
treatments could be available in the jungle of Amazon, the
spiritualist temples in India, or the forbidden cities in China.
Take China for example. Some of the doctors here are going to China
to attend tinnitus conference, or give lectures, etc.. While they are
in China, they may want to talk to the 'alternative' doctors about
treatments that they have never heard of, and try them out themselves!
The latter is called 'acting in innocense...', which is a profound
aspect of Taoism in the search of 'the way'. WHEN YOU FIND YOUR WAY,
OTHERS WILL FIND YOU. You never know, some of them may actually
experience either significant improvement or something close to a
cure. But each and everyone of them will come back alive. That is
for sure!
By the time when they come back, they may re-examine the whole
'tinnitus science' from a different perspective, and in doing so
benefiting all of us.

Excuse me, do you really want to go to a doctor who will try any old thing on
the chance that it might work??
Most patients want a carefully thought out remedy that won't cause harm and has
a scientific reason for expecting it ot work.
Science is evidence from many sources that indicates something will "work".
Folklore is someone saying it will work based on he heard it.

I don't think your medical associates in China will deliberately
misguide you to cause you harm.
