Aspirin is salicyclic acid which they say (who "they" are I don't know!)
is said to cause tinnitus, or aggravate it! I would think if your T has
improved by taking Aspirin then it is the placebo effect after only 3
days. :(

Could be.... but the placebo effect seems so effective with tinnitus it's
worth encouraging in every way. Maybe this is why some report benefit from
homeopathic remedies and other wierd and wonderful things. The thing is to
kid the unconscious mind that you're 'doing something'. The brain seems to
have a hidden volume control that can turn it up or down... IMO whatever
technique can gain access to that control is worth pursuing.

It's possibly safer than ginkgo--at least it's been studied a lot. But it has
serious risks. Whether those risks are worth it depends on why you are taking
it.

There's a rare cause of tinnitus involving outer hair cell acoustic emissions
that asoirin can treat very effectively, but unless you'd had the tests and
been found to have that, it's very unlikely.

Excellent idea.
