My T is sooooooo bad today, yesterday it was so good. My ear seldom rings it
mostly hisses and I get crickets.
At the moment it is like a loud electrical hissssssssssssssssss that could
possibly be in both ears, not sure.
Anyway I just wanted to share this because Im going insane at the moment
with this noise.
it's weird how T changes all the time, from being relativley quiet..to being
excrutiatingly loud.
I have tried to back track on something I may have done differently
today,,,I actually had a rather relaxing day..but I did lie around a lot
reading..perhaps I aggravated my already sore neck...I don't know, but it
sure is annoying.

Mine's the same as yours today - I can hear it too! A shrill hiss. It
comes... and it goes.. I shall let it do its thing and meanwhile get on
with something more productive. If it really gets on my nerves I'll put on
my little earphone amplifier which will suppress it.

It just varies like this Jennifer. Ignore it and concentrate on something
else.

Think of something really nice and think positive things only. And you know
tomorrow will most likely be a good day anyway.
Try and keep yourself busy too, doing something you really enjoy.
Simon.

Jennifer: Did you fall asleep at all while reading? Usually napping during
the day can worsen my t.

I didn't fall asleep, but I know exactly what you mean..I try to avoid naps
now, because when I wake up my T is soooo loud, usually for an hour or so
then it settles down. I think it has something to do with the shifting of
the fluid.

Jennifer, two words: eat chocolate.

I would like to try that. But could you provide a scientific rationale behind this?

Logic behind these two words: stress and anxiety can ramp up one's
tinnitus. Eating chocolate can be very effective in relieving this
stress for people (taking your mind off the "t"). Because the other
option for taking your mind off of the tinnitus is to hit your
thumb with a hammer and that hurts like hell.

Yes, but it works better, is cheaper and only makes your thumb fat.

chocolate and icecream both aggravate my T

Bummer for you. How is your "t" today btw?
Try a nice massage on your bad days.

You are getting an intermittent t. I have it too. I could give you
the explanation from 'alternative' doctors, which says that it has
something to do with the emotional element of your t formation. Try to
relax and get good sleep. Are you still ordering that pill from
China? You could try that but I think you might want to go back to
your naturalpath doctor and ask for some real good gingko pills made
of leaf, not extract. Gingko could improve the blood circulation of
your head and kidney. An improved blood circulation could do wonders.
I have yet to see evidence that people could get a stroke or
hemorrage by taking only one tablet each morning as a dietary
supplement. I actually went to a large hospital in China to interview
those doctors who prescribe gingko to patients.
