About 2 years ago there was a special on discovery in England where they
treated Patients with a series of computer generated sounds to fool the
brain to block them out It was a month long treatment that took the
pitch heard constant and feed computer generated sounds VIA earphones
which caused a block out of the constant ear ringing I have tried to
find the artical but haven't been able to maybe some one has better
search ability then me

Don't know the direct answer to your question but  the 'Tinnitus Tamer'
http://www.vavsoft.com/  using this principle claims to have cured its
inventor's tinnitus and my own 'Detinnitiser' (no connection) at
www.detinnitiser.com can help too, though it doesn't claim to 'cure'
tinnitus long-term.

I did order the Vavsoft software but as yet haven't had the persistence to
see it through...
