Hi all, I got my mouth splint yesterday, it is in for repair at the moment,
I split it already!!

I must really clench heaps..I have noticed now that the muscles near my
cheek bones are really sore and tired when I open my mouth. Has anyone who
has had a mouth splint ever experienced anything similar in the early stages
of using one?
Thanks !

Yes, this is normal, Jenny.  As your jaws become accustomed to the splint
the muscles will relax.  Give it time.

Thanks Patty, I get a bit worried that it will make my jaw worse and then I
get T in my other ear..that is my worst nightmare!! I went to take a bite of
a sandwich today and I could hardly open my mouth... ( I take the splint out
t eat)

Try to sleep WITHOUT a pillow for a week and see if it could help.
