I know that my T was caused by exposure to excessive noise levels, and has
also worsened by even further accidental exposure to the same. I, therefore,
have to take very serious steps to avoid any further damage to the cells in
the inner ear. One form of protection I have are my own personally moulded
earplugs, which have come to my rescue on numerous unexpected occasions.
Anyway, my question is to those whose T was caused by means other than
exposure to loud noise. Do you also have to be careful by protecting your
ears in the same way I do?
Thanks for your time.
Cheers,
Simon,
Holland.

I have no idea where my T came from Simon, and I can't stand earplugs, or
cotton wool in them as it seems to trap the noise inside my head more. I do
not suffer from hyperacusis either, which a lot of people on here seem to.
As for the other thread on sleep - I just close my eyes *-* !! I am really
fortunate that I am the type who goes to sleep to get away from my problems,
so going to sleep, even with loud ringing in my head, seems easy to me.
