I have high-frequency tinnitus which I've tried to mask using white noise
CDs and static between FM radio stations but I can always hear the
high-pitched buzz over them. Do you think I should try masking with a
higher-pitched sound instead of white noise, and if so, which one?

Are you able to mask your tinnitus with running water (e.g. shower, water
from spigot, etc.)?

I took medication for 3 months and the pitch goes down.  You may call
this voodoo but there is a close correlation between the kidney and
the cochlea.  The medication is meant to strengthen the kidney
function.
