Dear all,

I have learnt to control my tinnitus.
I can show you how. It's very simple. It maybe very hard for you to
believe at first. But then as you practice the ancient methods you
will be able to control the high pitch ringing, understand the voices
and go back to leading a 'normal' life. It does not cost anything.
There are no pills or drugs to take, no video to purchase, just me. If
you are hearing the noises and sometimes the voices. You are already
very special, more special than you think.

If you are serious and want the noises to stop. Think about this it
may take a little time out of your day to master the controlling
technique for the sounds but once you have it then the ringing will
stop by/at your will. I can guarantee that.

I have to say..

I have learnt to control it.

The method is simply this try it.
It make not work for all but it will for a fair number.
It does take a little practice at first.
When the high pitch ringing starts close your eyes focus on the center
of the
forehead between the eye brows. Then inhale deeply then gentle exhale
whilst saying or better still singing "Om". You should try to match
the sound you make the same note as the the ringing pitch. When
focusing try and feel the 'Om' sound vibrating in you.

Thats all! if you hit the right note the ringing will stop. It may
come back repeat the process and you should get very good at
controlling the ringing in a very short time. If it comes back with me
it now takes just 2-3 inhalations/ Om's and it's gone. My last ringing
pitch came three weeks ago and lasted 4 seconds. At the beginning I
could be humming to the ringing for 20 minutes.

As I said...It maybe very hard for you to

It's quite plausible and like you said it may work for some. What you are
advocating is some sort of buddhist meditation to reduce anxiety. It may help
quite a good deal if done correctly.

Actually there are some persons in whom a masking tone will last a long time.
but any process that reduces anxiety reinforcement will help tinnitus sympotms.

What do you mean?  How do they create such a tone?

Tks.,

Yes please Murray can you answer FP's question.
What do you mean? A masking tone.

Quote"but any process that reduces anxiety reinforcement will help
tinnitus sympotms." Murray M.D. Do you know what these processes are?

I am not talking about a masking tone.
You did not read my post properly.
The voices will go to. Now how would one mask the voices?
I am talking about a tried and tested method. That works.
No drugs.

A masking tone is simply one that covers or inhibits the tinnitus. At the
audiologists, they ask you to identify which of hte audiogram sounds sound like
your tinnitus. Then they feed that sound into your ear and you tell if it does
stop the T or not. Some persons, feeding that sound in can stop the T for
considerable time.
Its sort of like shining a bright light into the eye. The nerves are discharged
and it takes a while for the vision to return - i.e. for the nerves to
recharge.
If you are one whose T stops for a while when given this sound, then gettin ga
CD of that sound to use as a masker might help.

There is an insect named 'cicada'.  I might have spelt it wrongly.
They are commonly found here in Asia.  They emit a sound that is
similar to the t-sound of many people.  It is said that some t
patients who sit under trees where these insects make their sound get
improvement on their t over time.
