Inner Ear Fluid

I read somewhere that there is a huge number of factors that could
affect the secretion of inner ear fluid.

Amongst these include:(1)emotion and (2)neck tension.

I know a lady around here who all of a sudden lost her hearing after
getting made at her servant.  So that is number 1.

I discover that by doing neck exercise many times a day, the exercises
tend to release the 'somatic discomfort' on both sides of my head.
This kind of discomfort used to be released by diuretic.  I am still
using diuretic but on an 'as needed' basis.  That is to say, if, after
doing the neck exercises, the pressure or the brain ring is still
there, I would have to use diuretic.

That may be number 1 or it may not.  She lost her after a low level
emotional event. But because this event preceded the hearing loss doesn't
mean it caused the hearing loss. Remember that the rooster thinks the sun
comes up because he crows.

Francis,
You posted this on the 13th:
I started taking gingko biloba about 3 weeks ago.  The most noticeable
thing is that my 'brain ring' or ring inside the brain has been
transformed into 'drum ring' or ring on the ear drum.
Thus regardless of whatever 'studies' done on both sides of the fence,
it is your bodily reaction that should have the final say.

So, has your ringing 'migrated' back to your brain and is no longer a 'drum
ring'?  You might want to re-think the Gingko Biloba and the diuretic. Are
you taking a potassium sparing diuretic? If not, were you given a potassium
supplement?  Depleting yourself of potassium can cause many health problems,
here's a small excerpt for you to read:
Potassium is one of the most abundant minerals in the human body. A
150-pound person has about 250 grams (nine ounces) of potassium in his or
her body. Many cellular enzyme systems depend on potassium, and nerve
excitation and muscular contraction are influenced by the mineral.

A deficiency in potassium can cause muscular weakness, increased nervous
irritability, mental disorientation, and cardiac irregularities. If blood
levels of potassium get low enough, ventricular fibrillation (in which the
heart vibrates rather than pumps) can occur and cause sudden death.  Muscle
weakness, deterioration, and periodic paralysis from potassium deficiency
are quite common.

It scares me to read all the things you are experimenting with in an attempt
to *get rid of your tinnitus*. What will it take for you to accept that it
isn't going to hurt you, it isn't going to go away, and there is no cure for
it?

Improving everyday...

You might want to re-think the Gingko Biloba and the diuretic.

What to think?

Yes...

To improve it as much as possible.  I used to suffer from somatic
discomfort in my head about 2 months ago but now it is under control
with the use of Lasix on an as needed basis.

There might not be a cure but there are various degrees of improvement
achievable.  For example, i am enjoying 4 good days each week and the
3 bad days are getting less and less bad.

I'm happy for you Francis. Four good days vs.Three not so bad days is better
than Seven Horrible Days.  Everyone has their own personal opinion of Gingko
Biloba.  I don't and won't take it.  If it works for you, that's all that
matters.

It is all in the head or a matter of confidence.  If the cause of your
T is due to poor blood circulation in the head, then it is worth your
while to try it.  Just get a doctor who has had good experience with
gingko for his patients, and you will try it.  You might be in the
medical profession yourself.  But it is still a good idea that you get
a doc to doctor you.

It might work for you too.  But make sure you get a good gingko pill.
My doc is adament about using dried leaf as opposed to extract.
