I have been seeing a lot of commercials about this product, and I was
wondering if anyone here has had any success with it?
WGRG3@webtv.net - 17 Jul 2004 08:42 GMT
So I am Assuming by the lack of any responses that this stuff does not
work, right? Thanks!~

I've never seen anyone post about results with it, either good or bad.  Did you
try googling it up an seeing if there's anything beyond vitamin sales info?

Supplements have their fans, but I think it accurate to say, in my years
of reading this forum, there is no concensus on efficacy of any drug,
herb, or home remedy.  Anti-oxidant supplement might be tried, but I
would do that only upon prescription by a doctor who will tell you the
truth about toxicity of overdose.  Personally, I take a little extra C,
E, (well-below toxic levels), and a daily multivitamin, but I'm
convinced exercise, rest, and controlling stress in your life do much
more than anything you eat or drink or take as nostrum.  JMHO.

You know, this is a frustrating discussion.  Much can be done for
intrusive tinnitus that is caused by medical conditions or ototoxic
medications, but in the vast majority of cases, we can find no real
reason for tinnitus.  The leading theory, one I adhere to, is that very
loud noise, which transmits great energy at distance, physically harms
the processes in the ear.  Smash your finger with a hammer.  It hurts
like hell, vast amounts of neural energy being sent to brain from the
injured member.  Some times these injuries heal, and sometimes you
suffer life-long residual pain from them.  Is it not true that the bones
and connective tissue, nerves, and lymphatic system of the ear are among
the smallest and most delicate parts of our bodies.  It doesn't take
much to smash a Warbler's egg, and there is no putting the egg back
together again.  When I see, and remember personally, the abuse we all
take to our hearing when we are younger and stupider, I have no wonder
why my ears ring.

This being said, there is great hope in habituation.  My tinnitus is
very loud, but I rarely hear it.  I'm too busy to listen to it.

I believe Drs. Grossan, Gutnik, and Nagler may have specific
recommendations about lipoflavonoids.  I'm unqualified to advise, but
then I love my coffee, and you know that makes people crazy.  :-)

Best wishes,

scp

YES I can, Thanks for the Information!! ;-) I think you are right about
the Pain in the Neck thing. I went to a Specialist, and he said I had
two compressed Vertabrae in my neck. About a year ago I had pinched a
nerve in my neck and the intense pain went down my right shoulder and
Arm. I took many months to recover, and I had to go for Physical Therapy
for 6 weeks. I wonder if that was the start of my Tinnitus?

I'd say YES.

Did the physical therapy help you?

Yes I have! I try not to look down for long periods of time. And I have
changed the way I lift things also. I do not want a replay of that
pinched nerve again. It took me over 2 months to get over it the last
time. Now none of this has helped with my T problem. In fact today my
left ear is ringging off the hook, louder then ever!! ;-(

It is not only looking down - it is how you hold your head and neck
throughout the day.

I have been trying it now for one month, 2-pills three times daily. So far
no appreciable improvement. I'll try for total of three months. This staff
is expensive.
