I take it this website is american, I never realised. I am from
scotland, so the uk health system is very different. The ENT waiting
list is longest. I will phone re cancellations thats a very good
idea. Does anyone else suffer from fatigue and weakness, I would
never believe that this could make you so miserable. I am so
worried!!!!

It is for everyone, not just Americans.
But the large majprity of posts are American so we sometimes guess that the
person is American if they do not say.

Have you considered the possibility of coming to America for treatment
here? You might be able to see an ENT here in less time than it takes
to see one in Scotland.
Our best hospitals, like the Cleveland Clinic, get patients from around
the world. They're accustomed to accommodating patients from foreign
countries.

I think that in the U.K. they also have the option of paying to see doctors
privately outside the National Health Service.

No wonder there are so many posters with sinusitis/asthma from the UK if
they are waiting that long for treatment...by then the disease has taken a
good hold on someone. I agree with Steven though the cost is usually out of
range for most. I was driving over eight hours to appointments/surgery,
staying in hotels, etc...and had to have financial help. I can't imagine
if I had to fly somewhere! As for the fatigue and weakness, I personally
believe that chronic infection/disease causes a wearing down of the immune
system and then other problems occur. After years of treatment for
sinusitis/samters triad I am being diagnosed with Fibromyalgia/Chronic
Fatigue and now Churg-Strauss syndrome (a form of vasculitis), and I truly
believe long term stress on my system combined with surgeries and
medications is the cause. Make sure to get enough rest, eat right, walk a
little each day, and try to think positive until this is resolved...good
luck and let us know how it is going! Trudy.
