I find that even minimal exposure to air conditioning makes me feel
cold inside my chest and, very often, after that, I get sinus
infection.

Why is this? Is it common?

Hello,
Lucky for you you are still up and around. Ever hear of
Legionaries disease? When you first turn on the air
conditioner from the summer before, you are emitting
fungus like you have never seen it before - the bigger
the unit the worse the fungus emission. I always spray
my window unit with lysol spray before turning it on
for the new season (soak that sucker down), and so far
have had no problems. Any fungus that isnot killed before
turning it on for the new season will breed and make you
sick . . .

this might be a sign of low thyroid level.
Also if you are in your pollen season, your ability to handle temperature
changes is reduced.
