The whole point of using the Hydro Pulse is that the pressure is regulated LOW.
High pressure AND forceful blowing both can damage the nose and ears. When you
set the Hydro Pulse so that the stream is about one inch high, that is the
right pressure. Higher than that is the wrong pressure.
You DON"T want to force fluid through your nose. You use the Hydro Pulse as a
gentle means of activating the cilia so that they drain the sinuses. see
www.hydomedonline.com for details.

If you are just cleaning the nasal cavity, how does the fluid come out
the other nostril? Also, I have had experiences where the irrigation
fluid came out of the corner of my eye. I never use pressure higher
than midway on the dial of the irrigator. Am I forcing bacteria into
my sinuses?

Again, it is the height of the stream that you are concerned with - the stream
should be almost one inch high.
When you tilt your head, so you can see the sink drain, the solution form the
Hydro Pulse goes into the right nostril to the back of the nose where it is
open, then curves around and exits the left nostril. When you place the nasal
tip in the left nostril it does the same thing.
It is the flow past the opeings of the sinuses that displaces out the sinus
material. It is the pumping action of the pulsation that "pumps" fluid into the
sinuses and restores the cilia action.
Once the cilia are restored, you don't need Hydro Pulse irrigation any more.
