anyone have an opinion, subjective experience or whatever that using
Naproxen (Alleve) is beneficial in reducing inflammation of sinus
areas?
i've been staying away from prednisone - it's for short term use only
of course - but the last script i got i didn't even use because it
makes me so anxious and agitated.
i've been using topical steriod spray - Rhinochort and ibuprophen and
aspirin as anti-inflammatories. Looking for something with a bigger
bang than ibuprophen & aspirin.

iJah, I am allergic to Aspirin as well as all NSAID's...and can't help you
here, but be careful. A few fellow sinusitis sufferers also have Samter's
Triad like myself. Any use of these products would make the situation
worse. You are lucky to not be allergic to options besides Prednisone
which I have been on for three months now and yes...the crazies happen to
me with it but I have to take it. Trudy.

I just tried Alleve for the first time recently for my killer
headaches induced by rapid barometric pressure changes. One alleve
with food works wonders where ibprofen-tylenol-aspirin cocktails have
been failing miserably.

I use Aleve when I have a sinus headache or just pressure, achy parts of
my face, pressure in my inner ear.
It helps me a lot, and the nasal passages start to drain. I take 2 when
I have this feeling. Sometimes I take it for 2 days.
I was taking it often with this damp weather this summer.
