I have had nasal polyps since i was 3 years old and they have never
gone away. I have had 4 surgeries to have them removed but they always
come back 3 or 4 months later, so in essence i gave up when i was 12
years old...
.. i have now recently heard of Laser Surgery to cure sinusitis...
does this work well with Nasal polyps? any success stories? failures?

Sorry I cannot answer your question about lasers. I had
regular knife surgery about two years ago to remove
polyps and they came right back. I let it go like you
and they got very large. One was about 1/4" from hanging
out my nose. I took Dr. Mirkin's advice and found an
ent who supports the same views. He did surgery right away
and I was a mess inside. The polyps had eroded bone around
my eye and up close my brain. He had to do a bone transplant
around my eye. My eye and the surrounding tissue was watering
for about six months prior to surgery. Three weeks to the day
now and I'm much better. My ent said if the bone perforated
up by my brain I could very well have had "major cranial issues".
I had a staph infection as well. Most importantly... A possible
cure... Dr. Mirkin and my ent support using antifungals for
prevention of polyps. Two previous ent's told me there was
no cure and I could only mask the symptoms. At least now I
have hope. Time will tell... I hope he's right.
