My husband recently had a CT scan: results he has a cyst and dr. prescribed
Augmentin until cyst is gone.  My husband has had the sinus infection for
over two years.  Also for about six months he has experienced random
episodes where he can feel light headed, his face looks blank, he smacks
his lips like his mouth is dry, and his right hand tingles and he rubs his
fingers in his hand like he is stopping the tingle.  Dr. says this could
be from the sinus infection.  Has anyone experienced this?

That is a neurological symptom so he should see a  neurologist to rule out more
serious causes (for example, TIA - Transient ischaemic attack).

Anything can be connected to anything but it is not necessarily prudent to
grasp at straws when proper diagnosis is much more reliable.

I agree. I have had sinus problems for 23 years with chronic mucoceles and
have never experienced anything like what you are describing. I wouldn't
even chance to say what it is but one of my children has epilepsy and when
he first started having petit-mal seizures he would look blank, pick at
his lip, and say his face felt funny. I would see a neurologist for
correct diagnosis. Between the info given by the ENT and two years of
ongoing infection...I would say your ENT is whacked. Trudy.
