I have this lingering sinus infection. I have tried nasal irrigation but it appears to push the infection farther up to my sinuses. Will taking a high dose of guaifensin (2,400 milligrams) help to liquefy mucus? Antibiotics no longer work for me. I have had chronic infections for 15 years! The sinus surgery just helped pollen and mold get to my sinuses all the more. Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks Devin > I have this lingering sinus infection. It is used in the IV solution Ringer's. Potassium Chloride is one of the electrolytes coontained in Breathe.ease XL As far as I know you don't want to use it in more than a 3% solution. I don't know if it has value for nasal irrigation by itself. Also the need to have the solution isotonic is important.
