I just saw a general practioner two days ago that
actually got crappy with me because I was irrigating,
garling with salt water, and taking vitamins. He
was something else, he kept reminding me I was *just
a lay person* and to stop with all the big words and
diagnosis. The guy was a punk; yet he was a MD.

One ENT I saw got crappy with me for suggesting fungus
and mycoplasma as possible causes. She said "I'm not
going to test you for it and I'm not going to treat you
for it". I never went back.

Wow. What the heck is wrong with testing to know
for sure ... That is so ridiculous. And, I don't get
it. I thought that these people were eductated in how
to interact in a positive way with their patients. My
experiance lately is that their ego's are being challenged
because "lay people" are coming in with knowledge that the
patients were not privy to in years past ...
My experiance the other day makes me want to go to med
school, seeing how I was already using all of the forbidden
words ... ( the guy actually told me to stop saying "sinus
infection" because I wasn't qualified to make a diagnosis!)

Hello,
I am sorry these people act in such a manner, especially
when they are supposed to be helping a person helplessly
in pain and paying for help. The only difference between
him and you is he has a license to help you get well and
charge you for it. His having a license doesnot automatically
make you stupid, as a matter of fact i am sure you know
more about your body than does he. I have a wonderful
Doc. that helps me get well, even when i do come up with
crazy ideas he just protects me from myself, and makes
sure i make no tragic mistakes. Your Doc. has ego mania
and isnot interested in you as a person. For God sakes go
shopping for a real man/woman that really wants to help YOU,
and not only himself to your Medical Insurance.
If you have sinus trouble you really should be seeing an
Ear, Nose and Throat Specialist, and your Doc Quack should
have sent you to one my now.

It's been 15 days since I started my latest therapy. I completed the
Zithromazx in three doses so that drug is finished. I'm continuing with the
Rhinocort Aqua and Claritin and I still feel great. I just hope it lasts.
I'm still using my hydropulse and neti pot. More for the effect of removing
irritants like dust and molds that I may be exposed to. I fix pc's and some
are quite dusty. I make sure I go outside when blowing the dust out but I
still get a nose full sometimes by accident.

Hello,
How come you donot wear a simple, little surgical face mask?
You have sinusitis and as soon as the medication wears off it
will be back in all its fury. As i have said elsewhere on
this board: Mayo Clinc has just found 96% of sinus problems
are fungal. You need to go to an Ear, Nose and Throat
Specialist that knows about the Mayo Clinic therapy with
the Amphotericin B deoxycholate nasal lavage wash. Please
listen to me: this is NEW. They have finally accepted the
fact it is FUNGAL. Probably because the bug spray that was
supposed to be safe for humans, which is a fungus, is now
showing up in our sinuses as sinus disease of the-new-kind. Ha . . . Donot
take Amphotericin B deoxycholate any other
way, but nasal, because it causes heart attack . . . Believe
me, big trouble is a brewing . . . Corporate Society does it again . . .
with their stupid, greed-stricken inventions.

Again, The surgical mask is a simple idea that I didn't think of. Thank-you

You are lucky.
If you went through that needless surgery, your entirely could have
been taken away.
GPs are the most useless professional workers that I came across.
Majority of ENTs are too arrogant and lazy to dignose a condition
properly. They are using the assembly line approach to the waiting
line of patients.
You see, with 5 mins, he earn $175, with a possible $4k for 1/2 hours
of surgery.
If he checked your condition carefully, and cured it with normal
medication, he earn much less in term of revenue per time.
Never trust a privately practice clinician.
With 1 hours checking your condition,

That study is years old, actually, and it did *not* conclude that 96% of sinus
infections are caused by fungi. Moreover, most other universities and
researchers have largely discounted the findings.

Most people here who have tried this appraoch have not found it to be useful.
