Well, I've just had surgery for the second time to have polyps removed from
my sinuses. It feels like someone beat me up, from the inside out. I do
not want to have to do this again... So I am looking for something that
might help. I am looking forward to Grossan's new book, which as of this
morning is not out yet. In the meantime, I am trying to learn all I can.

I stumbled across this article this morning claiming that many cases of
Sinusitis are fungus related. Not 10% like I first thought, but more like
96%.

They also talked about patients who had surgery to remove nasal polyps,
researchers found eosinophils (a type of white blood cell). This
eosinophils irritates the membranes in the nose.

So is the answer to get rid of this fungus to get rid of the irritation of
the mucus membranes of the sinuses, to eliminate the formation of polyps?
Wouldn't that be nice! :-) And is GSE the answer to that?

If anyone has any more information on this I'd love to hear about it.

"they discovered fungus in 96 percent of the patients' mucus"

does not *necessarily* mean that the fungus caused the sinusitis.   Which
caused which may be an open question, or even of the fungus caused teh
sinusitis.

This company is trying to overinterpret a research study to sell their
product..

Everyone jumps on that Mayo study.   We have discussed it time and time again.
But it has not led anywhere useful for most of those here who have tried its
prescription.....

What you read, esp in the news releases must be evaluated VERY carefully.
All I can tell you is that at the nationla meeting scheldues in Sept there are
about 10 different papers being presented as the  cause of polyps. These are
all experts, etc. Which one is right? We are still trying to figure it out. The
answer is out there somewhere but until there is proof, follow your doctors
advice.

But I have to do something... this last surgery was not fun at all. I have
to do something to keep inflamation, infection and polyps down. Here are
some possibilities I am considering...

1) Sinus Buster, I tried a salt & cayanne solution,while I wait for my
sinus buster to arrive, and it has some promise for shrinking and soothing
my irritated linings

2) Flooding with a solution that includes hydrogen peroxide, haven't tried
this yet

3) Nasal Spray with .1% GSE, this was harsh on my sinuses, and caused some
swelling. But if it's fungus based, then we really need this, don't we?

4) Nasal Spray with Colloidal Silver, this would be for bacterial
infections instead of antibiotics. So far this has been working, but I
don't want to use it continuously because to the toxicity.

5) Your book, which is supposed to be out this week.
