Ok,
Here is my problem, I have been fighting sinus problems for the past year or
so. To start off, I had Hay fever as a child and after the age of 16 it has
gone away.
Here is what has changed in my life over the past year and maybe you can
give me some hints on what I might be able to research.
1) Have been put on Blood Pressure medicine for hypertension , as I am
diagnosed with GAD and it raises my bloodpressure . So, the PD took me off
of my Paxil and lorizipam and put me on Atenol/Chlor 50/25mg . Which he said
will help me out and so far it has somewhat controlled it along with my self
procedures. Could this medication somehow be inflaming my sinuses ?
2) I have been transferred to an off shift at work (11:30 p.m.- 7:30 A.M. )
3) It seems like when the weather makes drastic changes I get a cold/sinus
or allergy problems.
4) I have been put on Allegra D on and off , But to get personal ( I hope
you don't mind but I think it may help for an idea ) it makes me have
erectile problems in bed which I think might be the Pheudophrene (SP) . So,
I hate to take it.
I at the moment am fighting nasal drainage in the back of my throat which
tickles my throat and makes me cough . It is a dry cough with some
productivity.
Any ideas to start with ? I am new to the irrigation method and haven't ever
stuck anything up my nose but my Finger :-) . Any good websites that show
methods and if you think it will be beneficial to me ?
Thank you so much, maybe I can get this under control, hopefully with out
drugs if possible.

Allegra with our without the D (decongestant) is unlikely to help chronic
sinusitis and could aggravate it by impairing drainage..
You could try a nasal steroid spray (Nasonex or Flonase).
Irrigation will help.
Really you need to see a specialist.....
