The FAQ for this group states:
"The single most effective self-help measure you can take to prevent or
treat sinusitis is to wash your sinuses daily with salt water. Sinus
washing, commonly called sinus irrigation and medically called sinus lavage
(and sometimes called nasal washing or nasal douching), is an age-old
practice."
Using the methods described, particularly the Graossan tip, I find it
difficult to believe that the actual sinuses are washed. In order to do that
I would think that the ostium would have to be penetrated - not something a
layman at home could do safely to themselves. The term "nasal washing" seems
more appropriate.
I'm sure this had been discussed before but I apologize that I couldn't find
a thread. I would appreciate your comments.

The Hydro Pulse is NOT a hose that inserts into the sinus for irrigation.
The way it works is to activate the nasal / cilia and have them do the drainage
and clearing, which is what they do in the normal person.
Of course mucus and pus is actually displaced by the pumping and flow action -
Bernoulli effect - but that is not the primary effect.
