I've been told the same thing by more than 1 ENT..I have a small one
in one of the maxillary sinuses). I heard that these types of cysts
are rarely related to any type of trouble. One doc told me that most
of the population has it..kind of like a deviated septum.

We rarely bother mucus retention cysts unless we can prove it is pressing on a
nerve or bone.

Well this ENT that I have seen a few times now at the local univercity
hospital says that he will remove them if I want to. He also suggests
another month of antibiotics and then possably some sort of steriod
injection. Then if all that fails, surgery on the cysts! I would love
to get rid of them just to scratch that off the list of things to try.
They have been there for as long as I have been fighting this problem
and it just seems to me like it may be related.
By the way how can they tell if the cysts are pressing on bone or
nerve?
