my CT scan showed " pretty clear and open " , but " an unusual
thickening of one little area of tissue just behind the septum".

Then he said, " very unusual, we generally never see this".

Usually I am on my game but amazingly, I did not ask . I have my films
and may go to another doc one of these days anyway....

He told me to continue rinsing and using the Bactroban rinse/spray as
well.

I just came off one of the most difficult sinusitis bouts in a long
time. over two months of  ABX ( levaquin , then avelox) etc. I still
dont feel well, its more like the worst of it just petered out.

Any chance there is some infection in the septum bone that is causing
the tissue behind it to thicken?

Anyone ever hear of this ?

I've never heard of it, but my thought is that if you were feeling fine
and symptom free, it would be best ignored.  Since you're infected and
symptomatic, it should be investigated and possibly removed.
