allergy meds with "D" pseudoephedrine

started on zrytec-d 2 days ago and can't sleep "wired" feeling.
how long will this side effect last, assuming regular use?
anyone with simiar experiences?

Yep.  I cannot tolerate pseudoephedrine at all.  Even the children's
dose (half the adult dose) gives me tachycardia, anxiety, and insomnia.

You may get used to the stimulant effect over time.  I know someone
who's asthmatic and uses theophylline regularly.  As a result, she can
drink several cups of black coffee before bedtime and still fall asleep
despite all that caffeine.

If not, then ask your doctor for plain Zyrtec (without the
pseudoephedrine).  You can buy the pseudoephedrine over-the-counter and
try smaller and smaller doses till you find a dose that isn't too
stimulating.
