Mechanical Nasal Congestion Relief

Hi:

I am suffering from bad nasal congestions due to my spring allergies.
And my Reactine/Claritin pills are no longer effective in relieving my
nasal congestions.

The last time I visited an orolaryngologist, I remember that he was
able to stick a tube through my nose all the way to the back of my
nose (I could feel the tickle in the back of my throat). Therefore I
am wondering if any of you know of a store that sold "nose-tubes" that
are flexible, yet able to withstand the expanding force of the
inflammation of blood vessels of the membranes lining my nose to
provide a continually open air passageway for me to breath comfortably
through my nose again. The idea is to have a hollow circular tube
extend all the way from my nose to my pharynx so that no matter how
inflammed my nasal cavity become, the tube is able to withstand the
inflammation, keep its hollow circular shape to allow air to directly
go from my nose to my pharynx, after which the air will go home-free
to my lung. (I don't have asthma and is able to mouth-breath all the
time, so I know that the tube idea should work, as long as I can find
a flexible, yet radially-strong tube to stick through my nose).

Thanks.

Gunner:
I have tried it. It was when the back end of the tubing kept gettin
clogged up that I realized that the problem was a ball of goo growing
the bend where the sinuses discharge into the pharynx, where it turns
90 degrees. The goo is a biofilm and you can dislodge some of it by
holding splenda in the back of your mouth for a few minutes, then
sniffing (inhale sharpely) and spit. Also articulate your tongue
against the roof of your mouth to create a vacuum in the back of your
throat to pull it down, then spit it out.
You will be completely amazed by how much stuff comes out. Hold hold
hold, sniff, sniff, sniff, spit. Blow.
You can also use Coke a Cola for this, but the most effective things
to use to help dislodge the goo, that are gentle, that slow down the
reformation of the goo, are pecan center membranes (just search the
old posts), licorice root pellets, dill weed, st john's wart, pepto
bismol, and pepcid complete chewables. Also a good yogurt like
Activia.
Once you reduce the ball of goo, (which bacteria makes at almost no
metabolic cost from your own blood plasma) (and will take a couple of
days) you will probably be able to breath normally. You could also
swab out what you can reach with hair conditioner, most of which have
complex alcohols and EDTA in them, so they work pretty well to soften
and aid in dislodging plaques of hardened goo.
Not a cure, you have to keep doing it to maintain an opening. But
better than smothering.

Dear truehawk:

Thank you so much! It sounds just like the right type of method to
relieve my congestion. I will try it tonight to see how it goes for
me.

Gunner
You need to do it 2 or three hours before you go to bed, and then let
things settle before you go to bed.
Then it helps to keep a pecan membrane and a pepcid complete in your
mouth while you sleep. There is a kind of time release effect.
