Had my Sinus and deviated Septum operation last tuesday - was supposed
to be in one night then out the next day after removal on the packing,
problem was they cut through a blood vessel and didn't notice until I
was in recovery I then had to go to have that seen to under a general
again a few hours later - that was after they had removed the packing
and repacked my nose while I was awake! This meant the packing was not
removed again until Friday. Thankfully there was no more bleeding but I
am off work for a lot longer because of it (3 weeks now)

Sorry to hear you had a bit of trouble.

Make sure your diet has sufficient protein and zinc, which will assist
in tissue repair.  Good dietary sources of zinc include meat, beans,
nuts, whole grains, pumpkin seeds and sunflower seeds.  If your
hematocrit count is low normal like mine, you should also eat foods
containing iron.  Or just take a multivitamin with iron like Centrum.

Get lots of rest and don't push yourself too hard.

Still resting as I'm off for at least another week. Been eating lots
and getting the right proteins etc.

Taking RUTIN to make the blood vessels stronger is a good idea.

Is that something you can get over the counter (I'm in the UK)
