Not entirely sure if this is new news or not, but these guys seem to
think so:

Mupirocin is the active ingredient in bactroban ointment.
Like a lot of things it is somewhat effective.
It does kill staph. However it is made by pseduomodas, so I kinda
sorta doubt if it kills pseudo.

This is what we have been using. It is based on studies by  J Womald.

Unfortunately,  anything new we always get good results. Need to wait till
many cases to give a full evaluation.
