Hi. I have chronic sinusitis for 3 months now. Symptoms that I
experience are congested (stuffed) nose, headache and slight fever.
All blood and nose tests are
normal except IgE test where it says that I have 305,00 ng/ml (normal
is up to 100 ng/ml). I now wait for the allergies tests.

My doctor doesn't want to send me to ENT specialist because this an
allergy mater.Since I have congested (stuffed) nose, headache and
sometimes slight fever and this symptoms last for 3 months. My doctor
says that slightly higher body temperature (99.14) can't be from
allergy. Also, I am 21 years old and this is the first time I
experience this symptoms for such a long time(almost 3 months)

Is it really possible that all these symptoms come from some kind of
allergy? What kind of allergy could it be that lasts for 3 months? Can
allergy raise my body temperature because no matter how well I dress,
I always feel cold? I somewhere heard that there is an allergy to cold
weather. Does this exist? Maybe I have that because symptoms I have
are in this last 3 winter months.

I would think anything is possible.. What has your doctor tried? any
inhalers ? i use nasonex and have been a recent convert to nasal
irrigation with a neti pot. I could kick myself for not trying it
sooner!

Try a lavage about 2 or 3 times each day.  I also use Ipratropium
Bromide to dry up the nasal membranes.  Use Afrin sparingly plus some
Pseudophed or Actifed.  That should get the membranes to dry up.

When the allergy starts, the cilia speed up. But after weeks of allergy, the
cilia become exhaused and then infection takes place. The infection is a
factor of cilia immobility. Answer: get the cilia moving. If you use a
product that contains benzalkonium that may impair cilia further.

Really truely?
If the mucus from your nose is the consistancy of tears or saliva,
then it is probably an allergy.
If it is a thick clear, springy mucus, then you have a biofilm
infection.
Bacteria have within their suite of toxins and enzymes the ability to
modulate the immune system and cause inflammation that
looks like allergy.
Try this experiment. Get some pecans. Shell them and save the center
membranes from between the nutmeats. Either hold the center membrane
in your mouth or grind it and the shells in a blender and then sive
out the fine red powder and hold it in your mouth. If you feel the the
pecan tannins start to pull goo out of your sinuses, then you have an
infection by a bacteria that creates a fibrin mucus.
Look at the previous posts on tannin tea wash.

I find this fascinating and will not fail this weekend ( as I did
last ) to procure pecans in their shells. I have done some tea
rinsing. Also, another remedy , mega dosing Vit D3 gel caps, 10,000
per day. I cannot say I noticed much since the very first rinse. That
seemed to unlock some strange gunk. I am trying again.

I am the one doing the infusions for semi low IgG 1, 3 and I am
actually still on Omnicef from last infection from before getting back
on infusions. I have rinsed for years with alkolol and salt/baking
soda. And, I do as Judy, low dose Biaxin per day.

And,...sadly, I have felt awful the last 4 days. I think it is these
biofilms. My  whole head feels flush. Like an allergy type thing
( which to some degree I know there is a systemic annoyance there) but
yes, that sludge/glue that wont budge  in there. As always, right side
stuffs up, turbinate swollen, will not abate.

This round has me a bit worried. I thought the infusing was going to
be the answer again.
I think I have the worst sinuses period!

I only infuse with 250ml of Gammunex. I asked the doc if I should up
it, he said no. I did not push. I wonder if it is enough ( Judy, you
out there, any opinion....? Wont hold you to it...I weigh 205lbs.) .

Then again, I wonder if it is just incurable. Period. Although with
infusions I can al least improve. Lord, I could be bed ridden my
sinusitis gets so bad.

Theonly thing I have not tried that now and again I see folks advocate
is a complete gluten free diet ( and cut out sugar too).

Might have to give that a go.

I am trying this now, but I was under the impression that the membrane bit
was the skin between the but and the exterior shell, though someone said
the piths (my term) would be next best thing.
so I am trying the piths, as the shop didnt have the pcans in the shell.

so is it the skins or the pith that's best?

and how long would I hold these in the mouth for.... all day (like in the
novel "catch22" -

"Then Orr found two horse chestnuts somewhere and slipped those in until
Yossarian detected them and snapped at him again to take the crap [sic]
apples out of his mouth. Orr grinned and replied they were not crab apples
but horse chestnuts and that they were not in his mouth but in his hands
[...]. (300)" etc

replying to my own post.
I think now the highly sought for membrane is the but inbetween the two
halves that traverses both of them (at right angles). Such said membrane
is missing from these shelled, havled, membrane-removed pieces that I
have.
