I am curious to know if everyone here has been through shots for
allergies ? I hope I am not wasting my time with this -( it takes a log
time ) When tested I have 33 diff allergies . No food allergies

If it takes a long time, more than three months, you may very well be
wasting your time.

My allergist gives strong antigen serum that desensitized me and reduced
my symptoms to a miraculous degree within three months. Most allergists
give shots too weak to work.

The only caveat is that he made me more allergic to dust until I
reported it and he lowered that antigen in my serum.

It took me about six months of bi weekly injections to begin to see results
from allergy desensitization shots but the real results did not show until
the second spring after I had been doing the shots when it was easy to tell
that I was much improved. Now I am down to shots about once a month (I get 2
shots each time) and my relief remains significant. AW

THanks AW this gives me hope -I have been taking the shots for about 9
months now -2 each time . I did not have an infection in the spring but
do now -My internal med doc prescribed Avelox 400mg for this infection
-Is this a good one for sinus ? So far I haven't been impressed with
antibiotics as sinus cures -I have just 5 pills -at over $10 each
-darnit they better work !

Avelox is a newer antibiotic that I had thought was supposed to be reserved
for pneumonia. Not sure if just 5 days will help you but it might. AW

stuff stabilized 1st. & finances, since allergy desensitization is
not covered by my health insurance.

My allergy tests were all negative, except for a slight allergy to
peanuts and chocolate--and I don't eat those anyway.
