Here's a question for you all! Please help me out.I'm batteling another
sinus infection for a week now,low grade fever, ETC. I started using
Peroxide in my irragation routine. I put in a couple 2 or 3 capfuls of
Peroxide in my mix (using a cold medicine cup 2-3 capfuls is about
10ml.)My waterpik is a 1000ml container so 3 capfuls is 10%. When I use
this mix is will begin to burn like you know what!!! Now I also tried the
CANDO method in an Ocean bottle and this method dose not really burn?(
P.S. before you ask! yes I use the same amount in the mix) So why is the
Waterpik method burn so much more and is there anyone else who is using
Peroxide in thier routine, and is it helping? Everywhere I look about
Peroxide irrigation all come back to CANDO. There has to be more people
that use perxide I would think? Any input or advice would be really
HELPFUL!!

I've never tried CANDO's method, but I have used two capfuls of 3% in 2
cups of irrigation solution; it's extremely helpful and is all I can
tolerate before it feels like the back of my skull will blow off.

I only use it once or twice per week, more than that is too irritating.

I've used peroxide. ...Many times.  ....And I know it has helped me --
long term.
However  ...I think one has to keep the "over-kill" factor in mind, too.
..It's like Dr. Grossan says: (I paraphrase) If your sinuses are
draining or clear, you don't even need to irrigate.

..I know my sinuses have felt clear, and I think: Now is a good time to
use the peroxide, 'cause it should get right to the root of the problem.
..So I use the peroxide, and suffer the consequences of having an
inflamed nasal interior for the next few days which probably works to
actually aggravate my problem, by causing the sinus drainage ducts to
seal even tighter.

It would be nice if one could actually know what's going on inside.
.And "then" take the appropriate course of action.    I know Steven
(here) advocates a cat scan every few years, but I think this practice,
over the "long term",  is an unnecessary, if not a risky procedure.
..(Do you know a single sinus cat scan inflicts an x-ray dosage
equivalent to having "up to" a couple of hundred  chest x-rays?)

Personally, I'd like to see a lot more studies done on using hydrogen
peroxide for sinusitis, as (from my own experience), I think it will
prove to become an effective sinusitis fighting tool.  ...Unfortunately
right now, many sinus sufferers are blindly experimenting with its use,
and no one really knows for sure exactly what it is actually doing.  It
is becoming more like another straw that one is reaching for, when all
else seems to have failed.       ...However... ...Should one use a
capful, or maybe 10 capfuls? Does writhing in pain for 10 minutes
suggests that it is killing the bugs, or worse: damaging the cilia?   I
know in my case, the very first time I used it, it seemed to have the
most effect.  ...So is one good (jolt?) shot, all that is required?
..Or would an insignificant amount spread over numerous irrigations be
of greater benefit.     Unfortunately, no Drs will discuss its use --
Why? ...'Cause it's an unapproved treatment.. Warning...Warning: Law
suit.  So we all act as guinea pigs, and nothing is learned.     ...Jon

I have found the answer to my constant sinus infections are Probiotics.

Please do research on Internet and find out for yourself.

Hope this helps.
