I get the urge to clear my sinuses whenever I feel the smallest
bit of moisture.

What are the consequences of blowing your nose too often ?

Thanks,

Tony

You irritate the skin on your nose.
You're forced to buy a lot of tissues.

So there's no damage done on the inside of the nose and
the sinuses ?

Yes.  I do buy a lot of tissues :-D

..I have sent my sinuses into a major flair-up, by blowing my nose --
too hard.  ..If you must clear your nose, leave your mouth open, and
blow <very lightly>   ...Jon

If you blow your nose PROPERLY, you shouldn't cause damage.  That means
blow VERY gently to avoid blasting infected secretions deeper into your
sinuses and Eustachian tubes.  Almost more like you're just wiping your
nose.

Blowing the nose too often, its just like rubbing the eyes too much. Gotta be
GENTLE, don''t do any harm.
