just got a newsletter from a local hospital.  it discusses all the
wonderful services available, one being endoscopic microsurgery.  & in
the headline it exclaims that the procedure benefits 4 out of 5
patients.  the article discusses the procedure & says that such
surgery can bring relief to the majority of patients with severe sinus
problems.  it also has a testimonial from a happy patient who had no
prior problems, but got sick one summer, did antibiotics but ct still
showed worsening infection in december, surgery in feb with immediate
results - great & not sick since.

we should all be so lucky.

I wonder what percentage do get significant improvement. I bet it's high.
The successful folks generally don't seek out support groups
