Any suggestions to one suffering from Yellow Nail Syndrome?

It is often associated with sinusitis and I have been suffering from
pan-sinusitis for about 10 years - now age 63.

Before this, I had beautiful strong nails and now I want them back.

What's pan-sinusitis?  Is the yellow color the only problem with your nails?

Chronic sinusitus that is not localized.

One symptom that appears after a time is the yellowing of the nails,
sometimes followed by losing the nails and often very thick ridged
nail.

"Is localized."

Pansinusitis is inflammation of all of the paranasal sinuses and is
generally caused by a bacteria or fungal infection instead of allergy.

The microbiology of acute sphenoid sinusitis differs from that of
uncomplicated maxillary sinusitis. Whereas maxillary sinusitis is caused
predominantly by Streptococcus pneumoniae, Haemophilus influenzae, and
Moraxella catarrhalis, sphenoid sinusitis has a different profile.
Gram-positive organisms predominate, with Staphylococcus aureus most common,
followed by Streptococcus pneumoniae.
Chronic sphenoid sinusitis can be caused by both gram-negative and
gram-positive organisms, anaerobes, and mixed flora, which are more common.
Fungal disease also must be considered, especially in the context of a
patient who is immunocompromised.

----------------------------

Yellow Nail Syndrome is a very rare disorder involving a combination of
lymphedema (swelling) of the lower extremities, recurrent pneumonia,
bronchiectasis, and yellowed nails. Most patients have disease of the lower
lobe of the lung which may be due to obstruction and/or infection.
(Bronchiectasis is an irreversible enlargement of one or more of the bronchi
due to the destruction of the muscular and elastic supporting tissues.
