Suggestions for chronic polyp growth

I had FESS about 3 months ago, where my ENT removed several polyps and
cleaned out a chronic sinus infection.  Overall, I've been doing well, but I
think the polyps are slowly coming back.  The doc has me on twice-a-day saline
rinses and told me to use Nasonex twice a day.  When I saw her last week, I was
growing a small polyp again, which she scraped at and told me to increase the
Nasonex on that side for a few weeks.
My worry is that my home regimen might not be working.  When I rinse,
it always comes out perfectly clean.  The only time I rinse out anything other
than clear saline is right after the ENT scrapes at me.  I rarely need to blow
my nose, and when I do, it also is nothing but clear fluid.  I've been waking
up pretty congested each mornin.  The pressure slowy eases as  I'm up and about
during the day, but it never really drains any significant/noticable amount.
Does anybody have any suggestions for things I can do or suggest to my
doctor?  I'm using Neilmed rinse - is there a better one for people prone to
polyps?

I don't know of any evidence that one type of saline nasal wash is
better than another for preventing nasal polyps.

The FESS you had didn't make your sinus inflammation go away overnight.
It's going to take time for your sinuses to fully heal, and for your
immune system to settle down and "notice" that the chronic infection and
trauma from the surgery isn't there anymore.  Full reduction of
inflammation could take another 6 months, during which time your sinuses
will continue to be inflamed and polyps can recur.  Be patient.  If the
polyps continue to recur even a year from now, that suggests that there
may yet be a pocket of infection or inflammation somewhere in your
sinuses that the surgery didn't catch.  If so, the chronic inflammation
from that chronic infection will just keep causing more polyps.

Other causes of nasal polyps should be investigated too:  Allergies or
irritants (such as air pollution).  The fact that you wake up congested
each morning suggests some type of allergy might be at work where you're
sleeping.

Good luck.
