I am planning to have surgery (implant of a stent) by a plastic
surgeon to repair nasal valve collapse which probably resulted from
one of my five surgeries over 15 years ago.  Although I have little
hope that this procedure will affect the poor quality (chronic
inflammation, dryness and irritation) of my nasal and sinus mucosa I
am doing it in hopes ( a longshot perhaps) that improved breathing may
help prevent infection and promote even a little healing.  I am
desperate for any relief so am going for it.  Has anyone out there
experienced the procedure?  Usually they use grafts from the septum
but as I have so little tissue left they are using the implant or
possibly some tissue from my ear.  Judyj

Elizabeth, where do you find these great ideas? So many patients have
sleep apnea and won't use their CPAP, this could be really helpful.
