I used iodine at first.
The fact that it dyeing goo black was what first made me wonder about
the goo's amyloid content.
Hurt a bunch, probably because at that point my sinuses were so eaten
up, so I went in search of less painful alternatives.

What strength are you using?

Hello,

I found when i was using Lysterine that the worse the
infection, the worse it stung. The same thing with
Povidone-Iodine Solution 10%. Both the Lysterine and
Iodine are solutions. In other words already watered down
to be useable as is. You can water it down until the
infection subsides, but do go to "full" strength after it no
longer stings. The Iodine really got me in the throat, behind
my pallet (and even made my ear canals itch). Now itis not
bothering me as long as i keep the infection at bay. Iam
doing really fine now that iam using the more natural
Iodine instead of the harsh, unnatural Lysterine.

On my back, i hang my head over the bed to get it to go
into the sinuses (same with the salt solution, which i use to
get out the what i call "scabs" (dried, hardened, infectious
matter)). When i feel lazy i hang my head to the floor,
while standing, after dribbling in the solution and pinching
my nares to keep it from running out, until i get my head
over.

Ihave just started using the iodine, and donot know what to
expect in the long-run, but what i have now is exciting. Of
course the B complex is helping a lot too, plus ihave started
eating meat again. This is the first time i took this stuff as
stated on the bottle (2 huge capsules every day). I usually
took one once in a while . . . big difference. Look up
Pellagra, Iodine deficiency etc. in Google. Borderline
deficiencies willnot look as they show on Google, however,
under the circumstances, a significant showing of like can
be a sign. And yes i do drink, so iam not taking any
chances and see what i got- great relief . . . so far.

At the Health Food Store i get some (any kind) allergy
drops or pills or whatever - they too help. Also i eat whole-
grain everything (bread, cereal, pasta etc.). Organic yogurt
is a must for me, as well as stomach aids of a natural
nature. I use the yogurt as salad dressing and sour cream
w/chives on baked potatoes, on hot cereal etc. This Activia
sounds good. I use it once in a while, and it seems to be
doing something. Also for the digestive system, think:
Psyllium Whole Husks w/Detoxificant No.16 (that is what
itis called if you buy from the manufacturer). I forget what
itis called at the HealthFood Store, however itis usually
right next or near the Psyllium; is in a whitish box; inside
the box is a big brown bottle (one quart), and tastes as
chalk. Itis bentonite. I try to take it as little as possible
because it sucks the Calcium out of your body, of course i
take Calcium supplement, but oh those 3, huge tablets are
so hard to swallow, and youhave to take them hours apart
from the Psyllium/Bentonite dose- a real bother.

Then donot forget the Candida . . .

Everytime i eat out i get Trench Mouth, which, iam
convinced, gets into my sinuses. From my last restaurant
visit, i just got over the mess almost overnight with this
new iodine and B-complex treatment. Hope youhave some
luck!!! If you do, we can meet over a lovely restaurant feast
. . . you treat . . . ok?

Okay lets take care of the trench mouth.
The trench mouth, by which I think you mean white spots are called
Aphthae.
They can be due to abrasion followed by bacterial colonization or due
to a virus.
For years the docs kept telling me the white spots were due to a
virus, but mine were bacterial.
Zagarese Licorice took care to them for me.
Antibotic ointments work on them as well. Antifungal does not.so they
mine don't seem to often be fungal.
If you have clusters of little white ulcers, that might be a herpes
virus infection and it is time to try antivirals.

BTW

Having used iodine before,  I remember being stopped up completly for
three days
afterward where there was the ice dam effect. Nothing could come out
because
a lot was trying to come out at the same time, and the goo was still
in hydrogel
form. Holding water like a sponge, it just sticks up there.

I would suggest only doing one nostril at a time and using
the licorice at the same time to break it down somewhat and get it to
flow.
I would also recommend using the iodine on a recoverable bit of cotten
to control the
amount used.

Hello,

Instead of sugar i put a licorice tea bag in my coffee every
morning.

It sounds as if the Iodine you were using was entirely too
strong. I used to scrub my dairy-goat barn with less
percentage than what you were using for your nose. The
Povidone-Iodine Solution is only 10%, and even that will
sting at first; until you get the infection settled down.Water
it down when you first start using it. When you do your
nose, you should do your mouth also; both should then be
allowed to run out into the sink. Donot hold it in (at first).

Trench Mouth (Vincent's stomatitis):
http://www.mayoclinic.com/health/trench-mouth/DS00457
is just like cancer, Doctors and dentists are making a
fortune on it, by not properly diagnosing it; by just calling
it gum disease and, all the other silly names they have for
it. Itis a filth disease that you pick up from dirty
restaurants, doctor's offices, dentist's etc. - sort of like
staph. Weare fast becoming what weare: a third world
Country. The Dept. of Health use to control Trench Mouth
by making all public eating establishment use special soap
in dishwashing and rinsing solutions. Now even hospitals,
schools, nursing homes etc. are spreading it. OH, just listen
to the cash registers sing.

Besides every restaurant in which i eat, i also pick it up at
the Dentist's office and my ear, nose and throat Doc. - filth.

Have you used ozone? I have an ozone machine (i call it
my ozonerator) i use for the air in the house. I guess i
should start using it for my Trench Mouth next time i eat
out at a restaurant. Here is a picture of a child:
http://www.ghorayeb.com/VincentsAngina.html
'Vincent's Angina"  is Trench Mouth of the tonsils. Now
tell me it doesnot get nto the sinuses . . .
"Vincent's Angina is an acute necrotizing infection of the
pharynx caused by a combination of fusiform bacilli
(Fusiformis fusiformis - a Gram-ve bacillus) and
spirochetes (Borrelia vincentii ). These are the same
organisms that cause a gingivostomatitis known as trench
mouth."

Harry:

Humans grew up around filth.
Our immune systems are in general well equipped to deal with it.
People who grow up on farms are especially resistant to allergy and
bacterial infections.
However a high population density favors development and rapid
disbursal of
more types verilent types of flu, colds and respiratory viruses.
Respiratory viruses kill cilia and goblet cells that would normally
protect the lining of the respiratory tract
and allow bacteria to get a foothold.

By the way, Ozone is not so kind to them either,

licorice in a teabag will sweeten your tea, but not much else.
If you want to get rid of your "trench mouth" Just try the Zagarese
licorice.

http://www.sciencedaily.com/releases/2007/03/070322161029.htm

It it will allow the lesions to heal up in a day or two, and then you
will be able to eat where you want.

I have been using licorice for some time since my son boiled some
roots down from my gran's recipe.
It took some nerve to use the black stuff in the bottom of the pot.
This is heavy duty, not a kids candy.
Buying the Zag  is cheaper and easier if  you are not growing your
own, and easier even if you are.
