I read several time about risks for the lungs if something oily goes to the lungs. But I'm wondering: What is the difference if I put let's say sunflowers oil in my sinuses or just drink it ? If you inhale it, it goes into your lungs and stays there. Well, I know that sometimes after irrigating some stuff drips into my lungs because I end up coughing it out. However, I can't say how much is solution and how much is mucus.
