It involves inserting a string into the nostril and pulling it out from
the mouth, and is supposed to be a more advanced form of Yoga compared
to Jala Neti (water cleansing). I'm interested in hearing any
experiences with it.

A side question: could a nasal endoscopy miss the polyps?

This is pretty much what I have done with a loop of 20 gage florest
wire covered with medication.

I think using a string might cut something you would rather that it
did not.

Endoscopy can only see where the endoscope looks, there is a lot of
real estate in the sinuses.

i am in a depressively strange place today.  & yet that description
actually caused a pretty strong visceral reaction.  i have to admire
your initiative & creativity.

re:  the description of your protective gardening attire on the
allergyshots/mold thread (no pun intended, really)  - hilarious

Thanks Hellen:

To clarify, I use coated wire,
and loop it around and back again
like a very long very skinny hairpin.
In the looped end I may construct a swab of sterilized cotten and dip
it in
what ever I am trying to get back in to the adenoid region.
I would NOT EVER put a single stright wire
in my nose, too much delicate tissue at risk.

Thanks truehawk. You're a trooper. Using a looped instead of pointed end
makes a lot of sense. So it sounds to me you don't do the pulling
back-and-forth thing.

Also saw the word "floss" in this thread, and that's indeed what crossed
my mind. Nasal flossing rather than flushing. Sutra vs. Jala. Might try
it with some dental floss if I can't find a Yoga master in time.
