I find steroid nasal sprays to be next to useless in controlling my
chronic sinus inflammation. It seems to me that nasal sprays don't
reach far enough into the sinuses to control the source of the
inflammation. Is there a nebulized steroid spray or other such device
available for deeper penetration into the sinuses? This seems to be a
better solution than nasal steroid sprays which only work on the
anterior nasal regions.

There's Naryx (formerly known as SinusPharmacy, SinuNEB, etc.) They
develop custom solutions for both nebulization and irrigation.

But back when they were SinusPharmacy, they did some things that really
concerned me.

I was on Flonase for about 6 years. I quit using it a couple of months
ago. I haven't noticed any difference. ....I think the irrigation by
itself does far more to keep the nasal area clear than any nose spray
could. ....Plus it's a heck of a lot cheaper too. ..Jon

One of the potential complications with use of topical steroids is that
they actually reduce the number of steroid receptors in tissue and down
regulate the sensitivity of the remaining ones. This basically means
that the more often you use it, and the longer, the less effective it
becomes.
This is in addition to the HPA axis suppression inhaled/nasal steroids
are known to cause, impairing immunity overall.

I'm currently on Flunisolide, and it works about the same as Flonaise,
Flunisolide is not quite as bad tasting and is slightly thinner. Steroid
spray is the only thing that keeps my polyps reduced in size to a tolerable
level.
