Was undergoing ultrasound on my back today (major problems there -- seperate
OT post).

Anyway, had to lie face down on table. Head was depressed below rest of body
due to shape of table.

Well, my sinuses almost immediately clogged up. Literally could not breathe
through my nose. Had to mouth breathe during the 20-minute treatment. I was
very concerned about that since I have not had sinus problems for 3 months
and didn't want to start now.

However, immediately upon getting up from the table-- just as fast as the
problem developed it disappeared.

So, any thoughts on what happened?? I was amazed at how quickly (within 5
seconds) the problem started and then went away.

One theory about sinusitis is that there is an overabundance of blood
vessels in the sinus tissue.  Lying down could cause the tissue to fill
with blood and expand.
