does anyone use lanolin in their irrigation mixture?  My ENT
recommended as a treatment for irritated tissues and am wondering if I
need disolve it by heating the solution first.  Also, he mentioned
something about a coil or a valve that could be inserted in the nose
to open the nostrils and help drainage (something like the breathe
easy strips I guess)...Has anyone heard of  or used this?

SAFE AND EFFECTIVE

Nose Brace's structure is designed and contoured to comfortably wedge
between the side wall of the nose and the septum (middle wall), thus very
effectively keeping the nasal air way open.  Specifically, the small ring of
the Nose Brace is designed to be positioned at the nasal valve area. The
small ring acts as a replacement (removable) nasal valve.  The nasal valve,
the section of the nasal passage between the nostril area and the nasal
cavity, is the narrowest air way passage in human nose.  This area and its
immediate surroundings are the source of the majority of the obstructive
nasal breathing problems.  Thus, the Nose Brace directly and very
effectively penetrates and keeps the nasal valve area open.  No other
product in the market, in the same category, is as effective as the Nose
Brace.  After years of use in the US, Canada, and other countries, the Nose
Brace has been proven to be safe and effective. The safety record and the
testimony (see home) of numerous users attest to its superior performance.

PROVEN TRACK RECORD
Nose Brace was introduced commercially in January 1989 and  has been in
clinical use  since 1980.

COMFORTABLE TO WEAR
Nose Brace is contoured for optimal fit and effectiveness. The custom
fitting  allows comfortable nasal breathing without the possible discomfort
associated with other devices using a spring coil or adhesive tape design.

DESIGNED FOR YEARS OF USE
Materials and workmanship of the highest quality insure that the Nose Brace
will provide years of reliable service which is backed up by a two year
warranty.

CAN BE WORN DAY OR NIGHT
Nose Brace can be worn while engaged in most typical daily activities. The
Nose Brace can also be worn at night to provide effective relief from nasal
obstruction during sleep.

EASY TO USE
Nose Brace is easily inserted and removed as needed by the user without any
tools. It requires minimal care. Simply wash it with soap and water and
disinfect with an over-the-counter disinfectant after each use.

DOES NOT DETRACT FROM APPEARANCE
Nose Brace is worn inside the nasal passage and thus it is not readily
visible. In some cases, the Nose Brace may actually redefine facial symmetry
and improve the patients appearance.

EASILY FITTED
The sizing (fitting) is a simple procedure in which you try a few different
size (and shape) Nose Braces, from a group of two to six Nose Braces sent to
you by the manufacturer.  An easy to follow user guide accompanies each Nose
Brace shipment.

* Judy , I have no idea if this product works as claimed , but it sounds
interesting.*
