Feb. 19,"07 Day six: 35 grams Vitamin C , no complications but a little gas.
Nose clear , except for a little thick discharge .  5Gr.x7 doses spread over
12 Hr. schedule.  Not the slightest hint of diarrhea.
Feb.20 Day seven:  Went back to 500Mg. x 3 today to see what happens.
First hour of day , extra nasal discharge.   So far nose is completely clear
, except for a little thick discharge , still.  Taking zero medication.
In a few days I'm going to ramp up to 50 Grams. to try to find my
tolerance level.  Your test rabbit,                   Jamffer

Any stomach discomfort?

None at all.  I put 5grams at a serving in the blender with 8 oz. water &
scoop of citrus sport mix.  Would not suggest  swallowing that much in pill
form.  Even when I take a 500Mg. pill I chew them up a little first.  The
same way I would If I took an aspirin.  I know what it's like when an acid
pill stops in one spot in my stomach.  Burn a hole in the protective lining
, and pay for a couple days.              Jamffer

Taking zero medication??? What on earth do you think Vit C is ? 50 gmrams of
C could be extemely dangerous Vit c in those doses leaches calcium out. It
could be a cause of osteoporosis. Any form of oosteoporosis is very serius.
The excess calcium can settle in the kidney - also very serious.

Taking 50 grams in "one"day will  make my bones porous "wow".  Some people
have been given six times that amount intravenous in 24 hr. , with no
remarkable difficulties.  When I don't take large doses I work out with
200lb. barbell , and take 1000Mg calcium supplement (medication).
Don't worry I wouldn't take that kind of large dose more than a day or
two. I also take multimineral supplement (medication).  No iron because C
can cause unusual absorption of iron , plus the depletion of copper.
The first time my ENT prescribed Flonaise it was "very" effective.  Every
subsequent time it had
diminishing results.  I finally stopped use on Feb.7,"07.  At the time I
was also taking Psudoephederine Hydrochloride day and night with medium
effectiveness.  But when my vitamin C intake went over 5 grams per day I no
longer needed decongestant.  I had much more mildly remarkable difficulties
with the decongestant than the Vit. C.
Now I am able to breathe through my nose freely for the first time in
months.  I do still have the same stubborn pathogen that seems to be
imbedded , never gets worse .  So far C has helped with inflammation and
congestion.  It has shrunken polyps and passages inclusively.
I suspect a fungus because of the fungus (mildew) odor I smell , and house
is sterilized.
Question for the doctor :  Can hidden tooth problems cause persistent
maxillary sinus infection symptoms?  I once had an abscess tooth that blew
out my left tonsil.

Perhaps you could point me to the studies that conclusively show that
Vitamin C can harm the kidneys.  It would be a nice read.
Thanks for being there,                  Jamffer , the test monkey

I have been taking 1500 of C a day. The last couple of mornings I have
been itching all over my body.

I felt like our old dog when he got fleas.

That sounds unusual . You might be sensitive to it.  Everybody has a
different tolerance level , but 1500mg sounds comparatively low.  Try
lowering to 500mg that's safer if you're sure it's the "C".  I get tingling
and itchy-flushing when I take too much niacin.

Niacin dosages- I have taken it since 1996 for my high LDL (bad)
cholesterol.

I take the timed release 500 mg 2 times a day with a baby aspirin. No
flushing.
