Feb. 14 "07 --2.5 grams (2500mg) Slight decrease in nasal swelling.  Didn't
need decongestant for the first night in over six weeks.
Feb.15 second day 5 grams vit. C  Further reduction in nasal swelling but
still gray-greenish-yellow-thick discharge.
Feb.16 third day 12 grams vit. C breathing freely all day but still several
gobs of same goo.
Feb 17 fourth day 20 grams Vit. C Breathing normal even with humidity at 27%
I'm very surprised.  Only two large gobs of goo today but a lot of clear
discharge.  Note , only slight increase in gas but no more than having a
burrito.
Feb 18 day five  24 grams Vit. C  About as much gas as having broccoli for
dinner.  Breathing good all day and greenish goo has turned to white and
much thinner and lesser amount. I feel great so far and have been sleeping
better every night since the start of this experiment.                    I
stopped taking Flonaise on Feb. 7 because it seemed not to be working very
well after over six weeks straight.  Then I started drinking hot V8 juice
and it seemed to allow me to breath for about an hour or so at a time.  So I
drank it every day till I started my Vit. C experiment.  It's too soon to
say that the infection is "gone" yet , but the Vitamin C seems to be a
decongestant that works better than psudoephedrine or long term Flonaise for
me anyway.  Tomorrow I'm doing at least 28 grams.   I put them in a blender
about 4 or 5 grams at a time with 8oz. water and a scoop of citrus sport
mix.  Tastes quite good and hardly notice the "acid" taste.  No adverse
reaction at all except a little gas , but I'm a hermit anyway so I don't
have to say excuse me.

neither Flonase or pseudoephedrine treats active infection. Flonase treats
swelling and inflammation. Pseudoephdrine is a decongestant that will reduce
nasal swelling.

I'm glad the vitamin C helped you. I take about 4 grams a day, and more when
I feel bad.     AW

Vitamin C has so far replaced both Flonaise  ( for inflammation )  and
Psudoephedrine ( blood vessel constrictor ) for me.  I don't know how long
that I can keep up massive doses so I'm going to gradually decrease C intake
till I get to an acceptable level. Hopefully it won't be much over 4 or 5
grams a day , I'll find out.                Thanks , Jamffer
