A few months ago I caught a flu bug and ended up with a sinus
infection.  I have had chronic sinusitis
for 20 years! I went to the doctor last year and was given antibiotics
and the nasal (steroid) spray.
The sinus infection appears to be gone but ever since the viral bug I
still get weird head like pains in
the head.  It is not a headache.  Almost, like arthritic like pain.
These sensations have not disappeared.  I use nasal saline irrigation
(water pik/nasal tip) 1-2 times a day for months. Drinking
4-5 cups of hot tea with lemon.   Is the head pain from slow cilia?
Anyone else get head pain associated with sinusitis without the
infection? Any ideas to help the weird head pains? My doctor
claims my sinus infection is gone.

YES!! In my case, the infection has gone into the bone.  That might not
show up on CT scans or even during endoscopic exams.  Given your
history of chronic sinusitis for over 20 years, if the pain doesn't go
away, I would request a bone scan.  Hopefully, that isn't the case, but
if it is, it needs to be treated ASAP.
