Afrin AND Sudafed?

I'm about to fly and I'm just getting over a cold, so you can imagine
what I'm fearing....

Here in Oregon we no longer can purchase the real Sudafed--just the new
formula--due to the meth problem in the state. I got my doc to
prescribe the real stuff and will certainly take that.

What I'm wondering is if I should also take Afrin right before descent,
while the Sudafed is in my system.

I'm concerned about combining them for two reasons:
a) they are both stimulants, and
b) once I took them both and got sick on the plane. Not sure if it was
related, but it is the only time I have been airsick, so I kind of
assume it was.

Any guidance? This is kind of a last minute plea for help, so I hope
someone sees this and is able to respond quickly....if not, I guess
it's experimentation time!

Thanks to all.

I would suggest taking the Sudafed alone just before boarding the plane.
If it's working as it should, you shouldn't need a decongestant nasal
spray too.

Thanks, Steven. I did only take Sudafed, and did fine....plus continued
nasal irrigation during my trip and I'm feeling much better!
