No, I dont have a sinus infection.
Just my sense of smell and taste has changed
Its as if BEFORE my gallbladder was removed I was getting unknown/
undiagnosed mild reflux and screwing up my sinuses and after it was out
it is going back to normal or maybe its the reverse of that...
ORRR the anesthesiologist MAY have intubated me wrong and hit some
smell/taste nerve or something...

I have recurring nasal polyps that make my sense of smell go away for
months at a time. Sometimes after surgery, or after a course of
prednisone I get it back for a while and things tend to have a burnt
odor to them. Yours may go away with time. GOod luck.

If you have nasal polyps you need to avoid salicylates (aspirin" and keep
you nose free of infection.

I already avoid aspirin and motrin and alleve and pennicillin and SSRIs
and Pepcid and Zantac and Pepto cause they make my nose bleed...
And I just came from the Allergists and I have absolutely no
infections...
UNLESS some drug or anesthestic I was given at the hospital had
something allergenic in it?
Do I recall correctly that anesthesia sometimes triggers sensitivites or
allergies?
PS- none of the 4 things I was tested for today itched, yay, I can have
tofu

Well, I wouldn't eliminate that as a possibility. I have periods of
time where my sense of smell goes all wonky - everything smells the
same, it's a weird almost chemical smell. I'll get it for days at a
time, then it'll go away.
The most logical explanation is a chronic sinus infection, although it
wasn't until recently that I've started thinking maybe that *is* the
case, since until recently I'd never had any real symptoms 'cept for the
odd smell. Sometimes the smell signaled an oncoming cold, sometimes not.
