RE subject:  Couldn't help thinking of Who'll Stop the Rain by CCR.

I recall the confusion, concern and yes, anger, I had right after I
went to the first allergist.  Not only had he told me that due to the
allergy test, I needed injections twice a week, but he also wrote
scripts for Nasonex, Singulair, and told me to buy Musinex (sp) for
congestion.  I'm sure I'm missing something. Anyway, I left with all
these scripts and with this feeling that with all we know about the
human body, a fistful of scripts and an OTC w/shots is the best that
can be done?

I couldn't go through the allergy shot regimen with him because his
office is too far from me.  As I've posted before, I wound up with a
2nd allergist.  I got over the anger when I realized immunotherapy was
helping me.  Now it doesn't bother me to take that stuff above, plus
on days I get injected, I take a Clarinex at least 3 hours before the
shot.  The last couple of days, I haven't felt so hot, so I take the
original now- behind- the- counter Sudafed.

I do wonder what would happen if I stopped everything and just relied
on the injections and the occasional Sudafed.

I rely on the allergy shots, Astelin nasal spray and Zyrtec for allergy
season, along with irrigation.  I never take mucous thinners and use
Sudafed only during colds or severe congestion conditions, preferring a
single spray of Afrin to the one side that occasionally gets congested.

My wife and I both have had health problems. Myself for colitis and
coronary artery disease. My wife for allergies and osteoporosis. We
both take a dietary supplement and have had life changing results. My
wife took shots for over 8 years and thought she would always have to
be on them and now takes none. On her last bone density she had 3% bone
growth. There are other options and yes I do sell the product!!!
