I'm having continuing violent spasms inside the right side of my
nose (turbinate?) and underneath my right eye and the steroid
spray, Nasacort, is not helping. I can't sleep without sedation
and now I'm starting to get pain in the left side of my nose and
some lesser spasms. It all seems to have started after the laser
CO2 turbinate reductions. Sometimes my eustachian tube
seems to spasm when laying down. Is it possible I have an
infection inside the nose? If I recall correctly, the Levaquin
(500mg) got rid of the green PND, but it also stopped the
spasms for a short time, then the spasms came back.
Has anyone heard of spasms (snapping) inside the nose
and/or underneath the eye?
There is definately inflammation, but would that cause these
spasm-like snapping things (and pain) inside my nose when
I lay down or when sleeping?
I'm going to see another ENT tomorrow.

I went to a new ENT today ... this man was SO much more
professional than any other ENT that I have ever seen. Thank
God I have a PPO.
He asked many questions and did many more things to examine
me than the doctor at UCSD did (which was practically nothing).
He thinks I may have some neuralgia from the CO2 burns, but
he is also doing some cultures on mucous samples taken from
my nose and tongue.
The difference between doctors can be just incredible.
Either way, I'll see what happens with the tests and antibiotics
that he gave me.
Thanks for reading :)
